Show Basketball Tournament on ai Cedar The Dixie College basketball team with their coach left this morning for Cedar City, where they are entered in the Idaho-Utah Junior College tournament. It is expected that Dixie will meet Weber We-ber tonight, as both are second place winners in their respective divisions. Definite pairings will be decided at a meeting of officials this afternoon. Three games will be played tonight, starting at 7, 8 and 9. With the last of the regular conference games played last Friday Fri-day and Saturday when B. A. C. and Dixie colleges split a double-header double-header and Weber defeated L. D. S.. of Salt Lake, the four teams that go to the meet by virtue of winning first and second places in their respective divisions, were decided. de-cided. Ricks college of Rexburg, Idaho, had previously won the division di-vision championship, as had Snow college of Ephraim in the south-1 south-1 ern division, and the games Friday Fri-day gave Weber and Dixie the right to enter as second place winners. The two invited teams are B. A. C. and Albion, of Idaho, Ida-ho, as the third entrant from the north, due to their slightly better showing than L. D. S. of Salt Lake. Announcement as to who will act as referees during the tournament will be made upon the arrival of the league officials from Ogden and Ephraim. |
