Show STORM, COLD DELAY WORK Work of improvement on the Cottonwood canal have been considerably con-siderably delayed since Friday by storms and the cold weather. Pipe making has been stopped completely. With the amount of the original origi-nal contract, 19,644 feet almost made, C. A. Kemp, contractor, was forced to close down for a week or so. It is expected that work will be resumed next Monday Mon-day if the weather moderates sufficiently. There still remains about eight days work. On the ditch operations, 6S00 feet had been laid up to Tuesday, Tues-day, night, according to Engineer Engi-neer Woodruff W. Cannon. Nearly 16,000 feet of the approximate ap-proximate total of 23,000 feet has been trenched. If weather permits, it is expected ex-pected that the job will be completed com-pleted by December 20.
