Many fine letters let-ters are received by the News from these missionaries showing their appreciation for being given this service. The following letter let-ter from Verna Tobler, who is filling a mission in the north western wes-tern states, is an example of how those away from Dixie feel about this Dixie country and their "Dixie Newspaper": Seattle, Wash. Sept. 9, 1935 Mr. Edgar R. Simpson Editor, Washington County News St. George, Utah Dear Editor: I am writing to you to express my sincere appreciation for your kindness , in sending me . the Washington County News. I wish to thank you very kindly for it. It surely gives me pleasure to come home each Monday,' after tracting for several, hours, and find the County News waiting for me. I read its pages with the deepest interest, from cover to cover, for I am always interested in learning what my friends in Dixie are doing and in keeping informed as to the changes that are taking place there. It is almost, like receiving a long letter, let-ter, from the friends at home. enjoyed especially the . Dixie college . edition. It contained some very fine thoughts that I think should be very beneficial to us. . - I am enjoying my labors in the Northwest immensely. The scenery is very beautiful here and the majority of . the . people are quite friendly toward us. However, I'll always feel Dixis is just a little better than any place else.
