Eugene Cripps has leased the station from Sherman Cooper and besides be-sides selling gas and oil will conduct a wholesome and retail fruit and vegetable vege-table business there. Last Monday afternoon a large bus en route south met with an accident. The bridge about four miles south of Shem was washed out and the bus went into the gully, breaking a front wheel and injuring five passengers. They were brought to the hospital here and treated for wrenches, lacerations and bruises. John D. Pymm had a strenuous time Monday coming in from the Wolf Hole, Arizona, country. It rained so heavily, that a flood covered the plain. Mr. Pymm had to abandon his auto and walk to Parkers place. He walked in Tuesday through the heavy mud about nine miles, and says he does not wish to repeat the experience. |
