Show DIXIE, HURRICANE CLASH TOMORROW Hie Dixie and Hurricane basketball basket-ball teams will meet tomorrow night at Hurricane in a game which will mean much to the winner. Dixie is now tied with Kanab and Cedar City for league leadership with three games won and two lost. Hurricane follows with two games won and two lost. By winning this game, Dixie will go into the lead in this division, while Hurricane will practically be put out of the running. However, if Hurricane wins, Dixie will be forced from the existing tie with Kanab and Cedar, and the Hur-ricanites Hur-ricanites will be elevated to the position now held by Dixie. The game should be a great battle. The east enders have done away with the inferiority complex with which they were afflicted during the days of Romney, the Cox's, etc., and are firm in their belief that this year they can beat Dixie. This feeling is greatly increased by the fact that they .have a victory over Kanab, who won from Dixie, tucked under their belts. This conviction is in direct contrast with that of the past two years when practically every team in the division felt they were beaten by Dixie before they entered en-tered the fray. A large number of fans from St. George are planning on going go-ing to Hurricane tomorrow night to witness the contest. |
