Show BUNKERVILLE Bunkerville, Nev., March 13. Last Saturday and Sunday was our quarterly quarter-ly conference of the Moapa Stake held at Mesquite. There was an unusually large crowd. The first day was a Priesthood convention. Sunday all met together. Two newly returned missionaries reported, Elder Merlin Bunker of Overton and Elder Edwards of Las Vegas. Both gave some faith promoting experiences. Friday night was the junior prom. It was a grand success, by far the best of any previous years. The decorations decora-tions were beautiful and the music exceptionally ex-ceptionally good. Many visitors were present from the surrounding wards, who had come in to attend conference. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Corry and two sons of Cedar City were here visiting friends and relatives the last few days. This being the first visit of Mrs. Corry in 11 years. . She was formerly Miss Lillian Bunker of this place and very much enjoyed being back to her old home. Yesterday work began enmasse on the spring cleaning of our canal. Every man and boy in' town turned out. It will take most of the week to complete the job. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Hai4y and daughter Rosie were here from St. George for the week end, also Mrs. Palmer of St. George was here visiting her daughter Mrs. Warren Hardy. Rex Leavitt and a son of J. Warren Woodbury of Las Vegas were here yesterday, yes-terday, exhibiting the new Chevrolet car to prospective buyers. |
