Show CHURCH CENTENNIAL MEET JAWS NEAR 30,000 People Expected to Visit Salt Lake City Four Days Next Month. With the 100th anniversary of the L. D. S. church rapidly approaching, ap-proaching, interest over the entire nation is shifting toward Utah, and particularly toward Salt Lake City where perhaps as many as 30,009 people will throng to celebrate this mammoth centennial conference confer-ence event, according to L. D. S. church officials. An exceptional representation of "Mormon" people from all wards and branches, not only of the United States, but of several foreign for-eign countries as well, will join in this century celebration which will continue for four days. (Continued on page 4) i CENTENNIAL OF CHURCH NEAR (Continued from page 1) There will be a number of unique features connected with the centennial cen-tennial conference this April, according ac-cording to reports which signify that many spectacular attractions will be added to offer inspiration to the largest group of L. D. S. people ever assembled in one city. One oustanding feature, a pageant, pag-eant, "The Message of the Ages", depicting the history of the church since it was founded, will be presented pre-sented each night and will contain con-tain nearly 1000 persons, George D. Piper, chairman of the drama committee, states. Another new feature, "The Mormon Mor-mon - Century Book,' a . brochure, arranged in magazine style, which aims to show the achievements along various lines of the "Mormon" "Mor-mon" pioneers and their descendants, descend-ants, will be distributed throughout through-out the wards on the eve of the conference so that every member of the church may appreciate as' fully as possible the spirit of this significant occasion. - |
