Then too there is the matter of Hagh schools. No icrxe will question the need. For any community to progress they ijitust keep their standard of education on the higkest basis .possible. We have the teachers, lets give them the equipment to work with. We need a Federal building. Yes we could get akrag without. an arm or leg. We are entitled to a building. If we dont get it someone else will. This is the time to go after OCRS. This -paper has always been an advocate for good roads. Anyone wfho is familiar with the history of Dixie realizes what a tremendous part roads have played in the development develop-ment of this district. Dixie has been going forward in spite of the depression. Let's keep her moving. It is a known fact that a .person, business or community either goes forward for-ward or backward. It is impossible to stand still. We are now at the crossroad, with a wonderful future ahead. Let's take the pass jof progress. In the appointing of the Washington County Industrial Recovery committee, Dixie has started the ball rolling. These men are capable, we know they will do their part. It is up to Dixie to get behind them and do its part. |
