Show HURRICANE HURRICANE, Feb. 1. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bradshaw entertained entertain-ed at their home last Thursday night at four tables of bridge. Mrs. E. C. Dalsbury and Karl Larsen took high score prize. Chicken dinner was served to the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Larsen entertained en-tertained at a bridge party at their home here last Wednesday night. Luncheon was served to twelve guests. Mrs. Thomas Stan-worth Stan-worth and Elvis B. Terry made high score. Wednesday night the regular bridge club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. Gates. Four tables of bridge were played. Principal A. iNoble Kimball of the Hurricane seminary gave a lecture in Toquerville Saturday night on The House of Israel. The meeting was under the direction of Samuel Reber and Vernel Hin-ton. Hin-ton. Inspector Here State High School Inspector Williamson of Salt Lake City was here today visiting the high school. Legislature Here A party of about 100 visitors was in Hurricane Saturday. The majority were state senators and state representatives and wives. They were banqueted by the Hurricane Hur-ricane high school after which a meeting was held in the school auditorium with Representative David Hirschi as chairman. The meeting ' was under the direction of the Hurricane chamber of commerce. com-merce. Dr. H. B. Gibson presented a request for an appropriation for I farm experimental work in Hurricane. |
