An implement shed and farm shop that will pay big dividends during the life of the farm machinery is shown in the Illustration. Here is space for open storage of wagons and oilier farm equipment, a garage for the car or tractor and a shop where the repairs that the machinery will need before being put in use next spring may be made. The building is -0 feet wide and TP feet long, large enough to house the machines and equipment usuallv found on the average farm. However, it may he extended if there be need for more storage space, or shortened if the need is for less. The building is weathertight at the back and ends, and is faced away from the prevailing winds so that snow will not be driven through the open front. If the small added outlay is made, the whole may be closed with sliding doors, so that the weather cannot get in. Concrete floor for an implement house such as this is worth while, as it provides a clean floor at all times and makes the work of repairing and cleaning the machinery more simple. Some small equipment such as a forge and workbench are installed in tlie shop section, while the floor in the garage is pitched to a center drain so that the car may be washed without trouble. In addition to the floor plan of tln-implenient tln-implenient house there is an architect's archi-tect's cross section, which shows the dimensions of the lumber used in the construction of the building .and some of the detail? of construction. This will enable anyone familiar with building build-ing to erect this house. All of the lumber used is of standard dimensions ail lumber yards carry. |
