Show PROGRAM FOR SCOUT CAMP AND M. I. A. FATHERS & SON'S OUTING Plans for the scout camp at Pine Valley this summer are well under way and the applications have been sent out to the scoutmasters and troop committees. The officers of the Y. L. M. I. A. in each ward should make plans to see how many of the fathers are planning to go. Applications should be made by those intending to go and should be sentto the Scout Camping Committee, St. George, Utah, as soon as possible, so they can plan to handle the groups that will be there. Blanks for application may be obtained from scoutmasters or from the commitee. Following is the program as now outlined : July 13 Arrive Pine Valley by 6 p. m. 8-9:30 p. m. Scout council (plans and rules of the camp) 10 p. m. Taps. July 14 6 a. m. Reveille. 6:15-6:30. Hike or drill. 6:30-8. Breakfast. 8- 9. Camp Inspection, 9- 11. Group instruction! Scouts take nature courses. Fathers help with scout cabin. 11-2. Dinner period. 2-4. Group instruction. 4-5:30. Recreation or passing pas-sing tests. 5:30-7:30. Supper period. 8-9:30. Camp fire program (songs, games, stories, and astronomy.) 10 p. m. Taps. July 15 6 a. m. Reveille. 6-7:30. Breakfast. 7:30-8. Inspection. 8-11. Hike on mountain (Cabin Valley.) 11-1. Dinner on mountain. 1-3. Hike from Cabin Valley to top of mountain and back. 3-5. Return to camp. 5:30-7:30. Supper period. 8-9:30. Camp fire program. 10 p. m. Taps. July 166 a. m. Reveille. 6-7:30. Breakfast. 730:-9. Camp inspection and packing. 9 am. Break camp. Those desiring to stop and fish may do so. At the camp fire programs, each troop of scouts will be expected to furnish one song and one stunt of some kind. . , Special training will be prov.ded for the scouts in nature work and there will be guides and instructors along to help make things interesting interest-ing during the trip on the mountam. |
