Show KOCKVILLE Ward Reorganized On November 5th the Stake Presidency attended Sacrament meeting here and reorganized the ward, releash Bishop P. Jones who has held that position tor the past fourteen years. Heber Hirschi and Arthur D. Cox, counsellors coun-sellors were also released. The new Bishop, Waldon Ballard was Installed with Henry Covington as first counsellor and Edwin De-Mille De-Mille as second counselor. Bishop Ballard and his wife, Alice Harmon Ballard, both filled fill-ed missions in the state of California Cali-fornia about 7 years ago and have been active in both civic and church affairs here and at Cane Beds sinco that time. Bishop Bish-op Ballard is well equipped to fill his new position and both his counselors are equally capable. Mrs. Stephen Jennings left Sunday on a short visit to St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Harmon and Levi Harmon of St. George spent Thursday here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Waldon Ballard. Friday evening a drunken auto driver ran off the road doing considerable damage to the gua:. rails and posts at the lower end of town. Mervin Terry made a trip to Hurricane Sunday. H. K. Christiansen of Spring-dale Spring-dale spoke here on the prohibition prohibi-tion question Sunday evening. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Arthu' Terry at Cedar City on the 16th of November, a son. Miss Mae Dalton left last week to take a position as nurse at the Iron County hospital. Mrs. Julius Cox spent part of last week at Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Millett, who have spent the summer here, returned re-turned to their home in Provo last Monday. Mrs. Alice Russell spent the past week visiting with friends in Orderville. Mr. and Mrs. Guy I Xe Mi lie made a trip to Cedar City last Wednesday. Bishop Jones has served the people faithfully and well. His release from the Bishopric only changes the Held of his activities in church affairs. Gordon Jones left two weeks ago for Los Angeles where he has employment. Mrs. Sam Bradsbaw of Provo is here visiting her mother. Mrs. Lydia Covington. Mrs. Ievi leMllle is visiting with relatives In Oakland. California. Cali-fornia. Mr. and Mts. Arnold Lemmoi: of Hurricane spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Af-ton Af-ton Ballard. Misses Fao and Barbara Terry and Edison and Wendol DeMllle spent the week-end home from St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Erwin spent Saturday in Cedar City. Miss lone DcMille spent the week-end home from Hurricane. Twenty three members of the Ono club enjoyed a dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mr-. Afton Ballard. Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. Jones spent the week-end in Cedar City.
