Show vvlvl. J. llAlvlOiAN DlESjVT LEEDS William J. Ilartman, died at his home in Leeds, on Sunday. November 5. With him at the time of his death were his wife, mother-in-law, Sadie Jenkins, his sister Daisy Nichols, and his children, ('live, Wilma, Delma, and Clark. Most of Mr. Ilartman's life has been spent at Leeds, where he has followed mining and construction con-struction work. He was foreman fore-man for three years at Pine Valley for the Newcastle Reservoir Reser-voir Co.; has been in charge of the minim; works at Silver Reef at various times, and has been foreman on the Cedar-Lund highway. high-way. Mr. Hartman was horn in Silver Silv-er Reef on June 9, 188S. Mrs. Minnie Burgess Hartman, hi mother died at Silver Reef in 1009. He is survived by his wife Dal-ii.se Dal-ii.se rarls Ilartman, and the following fol-lowing children: Clive, Wllma, Delma, Clark, Mervin, and Arvil. Mervin who lives in Alamo, had spent two weeks with his father just prior to his death, but was unable to arrive home in time for the funeral services. He and his wife arrived the day afW the services and returned to their home on Wednesday, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Jenkins. Funeral serivces were held in Leeds Monday. Speakers at the services included Henry Jolly, David McMullin. David Sterling and Prof. H. L. Ried of Dixie College, all of whom paid high tributes to the character of Mr. Hartman and spoke of his virtues as a good neighbor, father and friend. Prayers were offered by Stanley Stan-ley Fuller and Rex Sterling, and the grave was dedicated by Riley C. Savage. Dp. McMullin conducted con-ducted the services. Musical was furnished by the choir, conducted by Mrs. Helen Fuller, accompanied by Mrs. Jessie Eager. The following people from out of town attended the services: Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Hardy, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. race. Mrs. Marie Harris, Miss EveLyn Harris. Mr and Mrs. H. L. Reid. LaBerta Benson, lone Olsen. Ra-mona Ra-mona Dalton, IX-vora Whitehead, from St. George; Su inner Parks. Arlene and Lucille Stewart of Las Vegasj, Mr. and Mrs. George Lamb ofPioche; Mrs. Irvine Bryner and Mrs. Mona Spendlove of Hurlcane. and Mrs. Sadie Jenkens of Alamo, Nevada. |
