Show U S Mother l Workshop Held III hill Salt Lake The American Mothers Com of the State of Utah con con- conducted ducted a workshop August 22 at atthe atthe the Craft House in Salt Lake City The workshop was under the direction of Mrs Albert H Belliston State President of Utah and other members of the state committee THIS WORKSHOP was in preparation for the coming years year's activities Plans were made by the workshop to organ organ- I organize I ize a Young Mothers Program throughout the state and nation This program set up through I out various communities will give mothers the opportunity to study a specially prepared course in raising child Guest speaker at the work shop on the Young Mothers Program was Mrs Ralph A Bryson of Vernal Mrs Bryson expects to organize the Young Mothers Group in Vernal early in 1965 for all who are interest ed Mrs Bryson is a member of the state committee as well as the chairman of the Uintah Ba Ba- Ba Basin sin District She is assisted by Mrs Elizabeth Ellzabeth B Morrill of Tridell and Mrs D G Mantyla of Roosevelt AN OUTSTANDING mother I I I from Ogden was honored duro dur ing the luncheon period of the workshop She is Mrs Milo House She had only one child and desired to have a larger family so she provIded live five children with a foster home These children were later reo re- returned turned to their natural parents A few years ago the fue Church approached this woman about the Indian Placement Program As a result she again enlarged her family by taking in three Navajo children from the Arizona Reservation and two Ute children from the Ute Indian Reservation at Ft Du- Du Duchesne Du chesne The latter two cl children have now been adopted |
