Show B.D.A.A FLASHES by Jim Abplanalp TURKEY SHOOT NEXT WEEK The BDAA will begin it's annual an-nual Turkey and Chicken Shoot next week for the big rifle enthusiasts. en-thusiasts. The first two days will be held only for the big bore rifles, and the shoot with .22 calibre guns will toe announced later. Big game hunters will be able to practice up a bit next Wednesday afternoon, and all day Thursday in the two day meet. Prizes of turkeys and chickens will be given away, and a drawing draw-ing will also be held for those participating in the shoot. Contestants Con-testants must have their own guns and ammunition, and must be BDAA members. The shoot will take place behind Hurley's Service Station at Copperton and all contestants must abide toy the decision of the officials handling the meet. Every member is welcome wel-come to take part. We hope you all do. Don't forget, Wednesday afternoon, after-noon, and all day Thursday, October 19 and 20. MINERS WALLOP MORGAN The local prep gridders had a work out for the entire squad Wednesday night, as they overpowered over-powered Morgan to the tune of 56 to 39. After running up a 42 to 13 lead at the half, Coach Del Schick turned his bench loose, and the boys all got into the act in the free scoring fray. The locals used the entire squad of aijout 40 players, as Morgan, also enjoyed crossing the pay stripe often. Bingham is still tied for first place in Region Two, with the North Summit Braves, and by the past showings, show-ings, these two will be in a playoff play-off skirmish at the end of league play. North Summit and Bingham tied at 13-13 last week. Next week Bingham travels to Wasatch Was-atch for another tough one, and! then they play Grantsville here on October 28th. o |
