Show Transportation discussed at school board Transportation was one of the main issues discussed at the November 4 Uintah School District Board meeting ACCORDING t TO Superintendent Superintendent Superintendent Ashel J J. J Evans th the district now has 36 buses with 30 to 32 o of them being used daily The other buses are kept in case of a breakdown of one of the regular buses The board discussed buying a 12 passenger van to be used for forout out out town town of-town sports activities instead of using one of the larger buses There will be future discussions concerning the pusher bus red and white bus used to transport the Uintah ball teams needing replaced ACCORDING TO Mr Evans there is a new ruling by the Federal Government that will require more leg space for students more padding on the tho thos s seats ats etc which will cut down on of the amount of students that trot can be transported on the bus buses This will also increase the cost of each bus upwards to The law goes into inte effect in ir April of 1976 1916 Mr 11 Evans also reported that the addition to Maeser Elementary is nearly compie com corn pie ted and that a portion of the final payment is being held until the project is fir finished shed |
