Show Oil shale advisory panel meet in Grand Junction The Oil Shale Environmental Advisory Panel will meet in inGrand inGrand inGrand Grand Junction Colorado Thursday and Friday to review and develop recommendations to the Secretary of the Interior on proposed oil shale tracts to tobe toe pc be e leased for in situ development development development develop develop- ment to review a research proposal of the Rio Blanco Oil Shale Project discuss the first draft Detailed Development Plan prepared by the lessees of the leased tract Cb Cb Cb C- C b and to receive reports from Interior officials This meeting will wilf be the twelfth for the panel since it was established in April 1974 and will be the second in Grand Junction As in the past it will provide the opportunity for local residents to comment on oil shale development and the prototype program TIlE THE PANEL was established by the Secretary of Interior to advise the Department on environmental aspects of the development of the federal oil shale tracts The prototype oil shale leasing program was launched last year with the leasing by competitive bid of two Colorado and two Utah tracts The pa panel nel will convene at am a.m. October 23 In the the Powderhorn Room at the Howard Johnsons Johnson's Motor Lodge William L L.
