N Booth The world is an unfinished job Everywhere Everywhere Every Every- where you look you see something that needs to be done to improve things MAN TOO is an unfinished job We sense this We feel within ourselves the urge to be something more today than we were were- yesterday This it has always seemed to me is the business of oC life To keep on growing growing grow grow- ing and developing and to do so by overcoming the difficulties we are up against and by helping solve the worlds world's s problems PERSON who has any ambition ambition am am- at alL it seems to me must sooner sooner soon soon- er or later ask himself seriously What do I want most out of life This question is simple But it is not always an easy question for an individual to answer He may have to ponder over it deeply and long and even prayerfully prayerfully prayer prayer- fully to know what he be really wants out of life what field of work he would prefer above all else to be in what he would like to accomplish for Cor himself himself him him- self and for Cor the good of others and what would give him the greatest personal opposition to to this approach Nev Nevertheless the Administration may may be forced reassess its position on this matter if inflationary forces Corces gain speed again and the shape of any basic change In posture could be manifested by mid mid- 1971 I satisfaction ONCE YOU know for Cor sure what you most want out of life you are off to the right start It is then a matter of keeping at it persistently and patiently patient patient- ly And optimistically This applies to an organization as well as to an individual It has always been the philosophy of the National Chamber Chamber Cham Cham- ber federation ever since I have known this organization that a dream comes true in proportion to our comprehension com mm- of and appreciation of what might be called the the law of positive expectation tion UNDER THIS law it is said that you youcan youcan youcan can have anything you want within reason reason rea rea- son provided First that you know definitely what hat it is that you do want Second that you want it hard enough Third that you confidently expect it Fourth that you persist courageously and honorably in your effort to obtain it and Fifth that you are willing to pay the price price This of course is not for Cor the person who has his eye set merely on a life pf of If ease or who hopes somehow to escape escape es es- cape responsibility and self self discipline BUT FOR the person who wants to I f 1 lAit r J V j J 4 ii ARCH N N.
