Show Corner SUNSET By Wayne K Bullock I sat last night on my doorstep And watched the blazing sun As it slipped slowly down beyond the mountains Showing another days day's work w was s done And I thought how life is like that Just a span of only a day Then like the sun fading past the horizon Life slowly passes away But one thing God I would ask you As my life reaches twilights twilight's haze Let me go as the hued brilliant sunset In a glorious bursting blaze Not weeping and crying for lost things But full of the wonders youve you've shown Let me go proud and still full of living Grant me me the strength there inthe in inthe inthe the unknown Submitted by Uintah Poetry Society |
