B Colton was president of Uintah Stake and State Senator lie He walked allover allover all allover over LaPoint and then said it should be named The Point No he said it should be given the French pronunciation La LaPoint Point Point and and so it was named The one visitor said My name is LaPoint and I saw the name nameon on the map and wanted to see it His llis name was Ray LaPoint and ha ba is a sixth grade school teacher Traveling with t him m was another school teacher Dan Mr LaPoint was from Madison and Mr from Crom Milwaukie Wisconsin Both men were very intelligent and the interview was most interesting Mr and Mrs Floyd Angus attended the Mantl Manti Temple Pageant Friday r night ATTENDING THE Pageant Saturday night from LaPoint were Mr and Mrs Golden Winn Mr and Mrs Matthew Mansfield and Kyle While there they met Mr and Mrs Dick Scholes who are now living in St St. George The Scholes are working in the temple and are extremely happy Also met Mr and Mrs Owen Burgener who taught music at Union in 62 and 63 63 The evening was very successful except the air wt which ch was extremely cold for Cor this time of the year Among the young adults from the Roosevelt Stake who went to the pageant Saturday night were Carol Winterton Mark Dennis Kent Bascom and Keeta Ma Mansfield field |
