G Wildlife Board hoard m member t Dr Dr- Paul G G G- has hasi j i been affiliated with the Wildlife 1 Board since 1957 and has served 1 I as Chairman of the Board on I three separate occasions He HeI 1 I represents District 2 which is composed of Carbon Daggett Duchesne Emery Grand San SanJuan SanJuan SanJuan Juan Uintah and Wasatch counties Dr said that the Wildlife Board is one of l his s first loves He devotes as much time to his wildlife responsibilities as most people do to their hobbies Twenty years of service attest to his dedication THE TilE GENERAL medical practitioner has been established in Vernal for thelast the thelast thelast last 14 years He lie was born and raised here After completing l high gh school in Vernal and premed premed premed pre- pre med studies at Brigham Young University and the University of Wisconsin Dr attended the University of Utah Medical School and completed l his s internship p in Wisconsin lie He followed l his s education with 11 years of general practice in Roosevelt before reestablishing residence in Vernal and his wife Jeanne have five adopted children and two grand children Their recreational interests include some binl hunting fishing camping hunting stunting for Indian artifacts and observing wildlife TilE THE DOCTOR also finds time in his schedule to actively participate in the Vernal Chamber of Commerce a variety of medical societies and in Rotary where he has served as President The future of wildlife is goodin good in Utah The States State's management programs have been a very positive influence on the status of wildlife populations I am confident in inthe inthe inthe the ability Don Smith the new Director of of the Division of Wildlife Resources exhibits commented The doctor concluded Wildlife Resources face many problems in the future Loss of habitat is one if not the foremost of the concerns weare we I Iare are facing I believe the future future- will produce increased increased- demands for wildlife related related- opportunities Those opportunities opportunities opportunities op op- op- op however may well be on the decline The Division of Wildlife Resources' Resources plans for forthe forthe forthe the future are well laid plans and we will try to preserve our resources and outdoor activities as best w we we can |
