L 23 Gordon Reed 17 Cindy Simmons 14 Connie Newson 15 and Richie Simmons 18 The second vehicle involved was a Blazer driven by Rondald Lynn Meason 22 who was accompanied accompanied accompanied ac ac- ac- ac companied by Earl Mock 21 BOTH UNITS had been bumping each other and one threw a bottle at the other and broke the windshield In the therace therace therace race back through town both units went through the red light at Vernal Avenue when the Blazer started to stop at the pedestrian lane in front of the Vernal Theatre the Jeep unit could not stop and attempted to togo togo togo go around the right side of of the Blazer and lost control and rolled over throwing all six persons out The vehicle came cameto to a stop on its top in the middle of the highway reported officer Orton The Blazer was not contacted in the collision SERIOUS INJURIES were suffered by Larell Thompson Leonard Cindy Simmons and Connie Newson Minor injuries were reported to Gordon Reed Reek Richie e Simmons escaped with no injuries The 1969 Jeep was a total loss and the Blazer suffered yearend rear year end damages done by by bythe the previous Dumpings Charges are pending further investigation Uga tion |
