G Burns formerly of Vernal has been named as 4 H 4 H Hand and Youth Specialist at Utah State Slate Training School In American Fork under a cooperative program with Utah State University Extension Service According to Dr Marden Broadbent area coordinator of oC the Utah State Slate University programs in the Mount area of oC Utah Summit and Wasatch Counties Mr Burns will also be assigned to other extension activities in Utah County Mil S has been associated with the extension service for two years and prior to that time was a teacher at Dixon Junior High School Provo and also served as principal of Manila High School for three years ears lie He Is a graduate of Brigham Young University where he received both his BA DA and MA tA degrees He tie Heis lieis is also a graduate from Uintah 1 ugh High School He tie will be assisted by two vo time part H 4 aides in his program with the mentally retarded Julie Palmer will work with the home economics clubs while Robert Hobert Hall hail will assist with agricultural or outdoor emphasis clubs ARE Aim presently more than 30 clubs operating at the Training School with r residents participating in a variety of clubs said Mr Burns The H 4 program is an enrichment program for forr r residents to help them make productive use of oC leisure time according to Mr Burns Durns and permit them additional opportunity to Improve social skills and reach positive personal goals THE TiIE NEW director presently y r resides ld In Provo with his wife and one child He tie replaces Ruth Rut RuthAnn h Ann Tolman former Cormer 4 H 4 li director who recently resigned d to marry |
