Show Avalon plans park site Plans are moving ahead forthe for forthe forthe the development of a recreational area around the site of the old Avalon school building TilE THE PROJECT originally begun by the Randlett Randlett-ouray Randlett Ouray Lions Lion's Club is now being spearheaded by the Avalon Community Club with Glenda Brown as president Ellen Argyle vice president and Benny Reynolds secretary A recreation committee of interested citizens has been formed to work on the project Those on the committee are Dee Brough Randlett Mrs Ronald Dudley Avalon and Louis Littleton Ouray Mr Mr- Brough and Mrs Dudley represented the committee at atthe atthe atthe the Uintah Recreation Association meeting Monday morning and reported that the area is being used as a roping arena and that it was planned to further develop it into a recreational park especially for use and a ball ban park It Itis Itis Itis is also hoped that money can be raised to purchase a recreational building PLANS NS ARE also being formulated to raze the old school building which has been vandalized to the point it is nothing more than an eye sore the committee noted that bids bids' will be accepted in the near future to raze the building The Uintah Recreation Association offered its support for the project and members of the committee were Invited to participate In the regular Recreation Association meetings |
