Show Girls day dance slated The Uintah High School Girls League will sponsor its annual Girls Day Friday May 10 The events of the day will start at 9 am a.m. with an assembly which will be followed by a Continental Breakfast DURING TilE THE course of the morning three sessions will be beheld beheld beheld held on m a rotating basis These include Round n a multi media presentation by Utah State University Cooking Tips for Outdoor Trips by Mary Cox from BYU and A Prettier You by Pat Marshall from the Mary College of Beauty In Provo Afternoon ac activities will include a Region IV Track Meet at pm p.m. and the annual Preference Dance will be held Friday night in the gym The band will be the Soft Impressions and dress will be semi IN CONJUNCTION with Girls Day senior girls have been competing all week for the title of Woman of the Year The winner of the contest will be announced at the Girls Day assembly Events for the competition have included 1 a dessert preparation in which contestants have an hour and a ahall half hall to produce a dessert from scratch 2 2 a home repair 3 changing a car tire 4 4 an interview with a panel of judges in a formal situation and 5 the vote of the Candidates for Woman of the Year are Larsen Loye Ann Mecham Dawn Caldwell Kris Richards Cathleen Walker Marlene Murray Kathy Calder Lucy Maxfield Kim Caldwell Ann Jodee Weimer Nikki Freestone Carolyn Zeller Patty Phillips Karen Riddle Barbara Kris Gray and Linda Hart Girls Day activities have been under the direction of Pat Nicholls Girls League advisor with the help of Rosalie Nikki Freestone Betsy McFarland and Jenny Mott the Girls League officers Boys activities for the day have been directed by Richard Logan Boys League president and Phil Johnson advisor |
