Show Ir rl y t ty ta a i I 1 COLLEEN COLTON continues education In basin Vernal Student Gets Scholarship I Mrs 1 Maughan Colleen Col Col- Col Colton ton of Vernal received a full tuition and fees scholarship for forthe forthe the Fall Quarter at the Uintah Basin Dasin Center for Continuing Ed Ed- Ed Education She has maintained almost a straight A average at the center I IThe The scholarship was granted by the scholar scholar- scholarship ship committee MRS COLTON Is majoring in physical science and tics and will receive her ele and secondary lion tion certificate upon graduation in June She Is presently completing her senior year of college and will have bave completed 77 hours at the Uintah Basin Center at the end of this term THE COMMUTING student commented that she Is just typo ical of many basin women who are earning credits at this out standing Institution She stated that her experiences there have been very interesting as some of the best professors utah have been flown in to give excellent instruction noted that most every subject Is touched in inthe inthe the wide variety of classes of of- of offered at the center A GRADUATE of N Newport port high School in Newport Oregon she attended the Brigham Young University on a schol- schol scholarship scholarship basis and the University of Utah for a total of over two years prior to beginning of her studies at the Mrs Colton hopes bopes to do grad grad- graduate work in education and will attend the Utah State Uni- Uni University In to complete work on her degree I She is presently teaching dancing classes In addition to her schooling Mrs Colton said At our house education is a family pro pro- project project from grandparents contri buting ideas and babysitting to the youngest child providing an audience while I practice my English assignments ion has bas been wonderful I |
