| Show Monthly Meet Of Cub Scout Pack Held The monthly pack meeting of Cub Scout Pack was held Thursday evening of last week at the Community Church soc soc- social ial hall Nils Iloff- Iloff man called the meeting to order with the flag ceremony led by byDen byDen Den 3 The program led off with a film featuring a wild game hunt huntin huntin in Alaska Following the film Mr 11 Hoffman congratulated the boys who had earned bad bad- badges and awards in cub scout scout- scouting ing THEY WERE as follows In Den I 1 a bobcat badge to Randall Williamson Alan Wil Wil- Wil John Miller and Mich- Mich Michael ael A denner Benner badge to Russell Kier and assistant den den- denner ner neI badge to Kent Banks In Den 2 a bobcat badge to Robert Strother Strothe tg to M Mark Pitts ts three silver arrows and a gold arrow point to Curt y In InDen InDen Den 3 a bobcat badge to Gregg Gaucher Wolf badges to Eric Hobart and Ronald Baker A ASil Sil Silver vel arrow point to Eric Wilt and a gold arrow point to Nick Meagher THE NEWLY formed os den under Donald Wilt are areas areas as follows Michael Duke loans Hans Parkinson Tad Lee John Harcus and Nick Wilt Following the awards Mr Hoffman asked the den moth moth- mothers ers to present each of their boys with a revised edition of the cub scout manual on which each should be working He then announced that for forthe forthe the next pack meeting each boy and his father or mother would be requested to bring a baked item which would be auctioned off with proceeds to go into the treasury Mr Pickering committee chairman made the announcement cement that the Pinewood Del Der- Der Derby by race would be held in Jan Jan- January uary and that Mr Dennington would distribute model kits to each den so that those boys in- in interested could purchase a kit and begin work on their mod mod- models els cIs DEN 1 gave a humorous skit on the western theme featuring cowboys and horses Den 2 had hadon hadon on exhibit a collection on birds md and Den 3 had an exhibit on frontier life in fI west Den 2 presented the closing ceremony and Hex McCarley of Den 3 lcd kd the closing flag ceremony The next next meeting m-eting will be held November 30 at the same place |
