| Show Junior High Prepares for Evaluation Under l lean the ean direction Test of the Steering Committee Chairman Junior High students and ty members have been work work- lag ing the past two months filling out questionnaires reports and answering aU all questions in pro pre of tile the evaluation team for accreditation which will be here January 25 26 and 27 We are about 70 percent through our work here at the junior high school Clyde A Christensen Principal reported Monday Consensus reports by section section- sectional al chairman were given last week and in general approved by the faculty Mrs Joseph Johnson and her PTA committees worked with the student appraisal E J Bal Bal Bal- Ballard lard and his committee visited the school and helped with the parent appraisal There will be an evaluative team of administrators and tea tea tea- teachers chers from as far north as Og Og- Og Ogden den and as far south as Cedar City visiting V Vernal to appraise the school the curriculum ad ad- ad administrative organization and the school as it relates to the community These people will come from high school junior high school colleges and the State Depart Depart- Department ment of Education flIt It should be emphasized that these people are not coming out outto outto to criticize but to analyze our needs and accomplishments the principal said THE SCHEDULE for January 25 will be orientation to faculty of the evaluation plus a social for the evaluation team that night which is being prepared by the junior high PTA January 26 will be devoted completely to this group visiting 1 the classrooms in which they will make their own evaluation on January 27 in the morning hours they will continue their evaluation I In the afternoon beginning at 1 pm the people of Vernal are invited to attend a general meeting where the evaluation team will present to the of the community its findings We would like to emphasize that this meeting is for the community the school board Chamber of Commerce and all civic groups Principal Chris Chris- said School for the students will be dismissed at 1 pm January 27 |
