between engine and caboose MAKING THE record more difficult was the fact that Oct Oct- October ober is a month of very tight supply of covered hopper rail road cars The local agency through which this movement was handled must be credited for their constant attention to this service which was far be- be beyond be yond the call of duty The i months month's loadings were characterized characterized by an almost hand to mouth effort in the cleaning and placement of the necessary car equipment At this writing Mr King said it has been impossible to secure even an estimate of the man man- hours required by the to service the cars shipped It is evident of course that many railroad employees are involved The job has required 1 track work 2 car cleaning 3 switch crews 4 5 train crews for a the local servicing ing the account and b line crew for the Increase in tonn- tonn tonnage tonnage age 6 as well as clerks and time of certain officials WHILE THE impact of this movement on the local
