| Show Rooks Books Awarded For Best Stories On Clean up Books Dooks were presented to Ver- Ver Vernal Vernal nal Elementary schools last week for participation in the clean up campaign when stu stu- stu students dents wrote stories on the cam cam- campaign and each room competed for these prizes The project was sponsored by bythe bythe the Merry Mrs Club Mrs Keith Caldwell Is chairman of the committee with Mrs Lloyd Winward Mrs Glade Mrs Frank Judd and Mrs Howard Powell as members of the committee STUDENTS from each room competed in the contest after they had seen the pictures pre pared by Mrs Caldwell and pre pre- presented presented to each class Winners from the Ashley Ele- Ele Elementary Elementary School were Mrs Gla Gla- Gla Gladys dys Palmers Palmer's room 1st grade Clarice Timothy's room 2nd grade Lowell Longs Long's room 3rd grade Joan Winns Winn's room grade and Clifford Perkins Perkin's room grade At the Central School Marilyn class won in the 1st grade Mary Lou Burgins Burgin's class in the 2nd grade Mona Alona Clarks Clark's room In to grade Doris Morrills Morrill's room in tile the grade and Pearl Snyders Snyder's room in the grade THE BOOKS were presented to A Alwyn Call and Orvel linger principals of the schools They were then given to the winning classes Mrs Irs Caldwell reported that the response had been so wide wide- widespread spread that the Naples School personnel had called and reo re- requested quested that tile the club m m- m hers bers come there to present t Use b e Information which was present present- presented ed to the Vernal school It was estimated by members of the Merry Mrs Club that children at Central School 54 students at Ashley Elementary Elemental and students at Naples had been reached by the project |
