recent years mr curry disclosed that 20 phases of work formerly operated by the government now have been assumed by the indian government these include leasing land utilization individual indian money accounts and law enforcement be beginning inning their purchasing in 1946 the indians now have 53 tracts of land and total acreage these were w ere purchased appropriated cash outlay of and in funds appropriated under the government indian reorganization act mr curry said that 1061 of local land funds have been used to purchase grazing privileges for head bead of cattle they also recently taxable land and acres of tribal land the uncompahgre reservation consists of acres of trust land acres of tribal lands and acres of homestead land the grand total of all the indian lands of all ca
