| Show UTAH 18 TO SUBMIT PLANS fun it state will erect memorial to the Sol cre bailor sailors and a marines who fought in great war salt lake city october 8 0 all known in utah are to be invited to prepare and submit plans tor for the proposed state memorial to the soldiers sailors and marines of utah who served in tho the late war just what form the memorial will assume or the site upon which it will be erected have not yet been definitely 1 decided at a meeting of the held hold in the office of the county commission thie thin morning it was the con conc census enous ot opinion that all plane plans should be submitted prior to the making of decision as to the character of the memorial it was regarded as desirable de to obtain plans in the near future that the state legislature may way bo be advised at its next meeting that it may have an idea of the needs of the committee in tho way of legislative enactment the committee authorized the see soc rotary 0 J grimes to prepare a letter which will be sent to all architects calling upon cheur to prepare plane plans advising them that selection of the site depends on the nature of the memorial and that it is desirable to select the site in the immediate future one of four possible sites will be selected it developed and the memorial orial which the committee has in mind at the present time provides for a largo large auditorium quarters for meetings of war organizations such as the american legion spanish spa augh american war veterans G A it mormon battalion and other organizations |
