Show BHSP-TA OFFICERS INSTALLED MAY 9 Closing meeting and installation installa-tion tea of the Bingham Junior and Senior High School P-TA was held in the faculty room of the school on Friday, May 9th. The meeting which was conducted con-ducted by Mrs. Elwood T. Johnson, John-son, president, began at 1:30 pm. Prayer was given by Mrs. Elmo A. Nelson and Mrs. Dean Ham gave the historian's report. Mrs. Johnson thanked officers and chairmen who helped her during the year and introduced Mrs. James Carrigan, president of the Jordan District P-TA Council, and presented her with a corsage. cor-sage. Mrs. Carrigan read a poem entitled "Because You Have A Child" before she installed the following officers: I Mrs. J. D. Laycock, president; Mrs. J. Lynn Booth, first vice president; Principal T. H. Mc-Mullin, Mc-Mullin, second vice president; Mrs. Nelson, secretary and treasurer; trea-surer; Mrs. Ham, historian, and sectional chairman Mrs. Frank Swain, Copperton; Mrs. Charles Ray, Bingham; Mrs. Joe Scor-zato, Scor-zato, Highland Boy; Mrs. Malcolm Mal-colm Robertson, Copperfield; and Mrs. Floyd Reed, Lark. After installation corsages were presented to Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Laycock and a bouton-niere bouton-niere to Mr. McMullin by Mrs. Albert Kastelic, program chairman. chair-man. Mrs. Laycock and Mr. McMullin Mc-Mullin gave short talks and Mrs. Johnson expressed thanks to Mr. McMullin for his cooperation. She introduced the hospitality committee Mrs. D. O. Stoker, chairman, Mrs. M. C. Colyar, Mrs. Ernest Poulsen, Mrs. Lawrence Lawr-ence Coleman and Mrs. Frank LaComb who had charge of arrangements ar-rangements of the tea. Members of the faculty were greeted at I the door by Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Laycock retiring and incoming incom-ing president respectively. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to 50. Decorations included a lace covered cov-ered table centered with a floral centerpiece of lilacs and tulips, with white lighted tapers in crystal candalabra at each end. |
