Show died of typhoid rever fever it is ia again our sad duty to record the Oe departure from this thia life of ono one of the promising young ladies of uintah county it Is the demise demis cof of annie myrtlo myrtle hacking daughter of annie M and james hacking her death came after a protracted illness ill nesa of several weeks duration the dread disease from which she has suffered so long and which terminated Wednes wednesday dav afternoon in lier ter death was typhoid fever since the begin ing of her illness ill nesa at one time her condition seemed much improved and her friendie frenda fri endis were cry hopeful that she would recover but for over a week before tile the end came she ehe grew steadily worse it is 13 a sad blow to the family as she ehe is 13 the first one out of a large family to fall a prey to the grim reaper and the multitude of friends of the family extend their love and sympathy in the hour of their deep affliction myrtle as aa she was waa known among her friends was waa a popular young lady a hard worker and ono one of the see sweetest test and kindest souls soula that ever graced our community in fact her be lieve cievo that her hard work during the illness of her mother and the absence oilier of her older sisters aters ei weakened her until she fell an easy prey to typhoid fever ifer her modest and genial kindly disposition made a friend of every one who knew her she was waa born january ath 1888 therefore her age aga was a little over eighteen years and eight months last spring she was a member of the graduating class of the uintah stake academy and took a prominent part in the commencement exercises exercise a of that institution ane funeral was held at the maeser ward house at 2 p in yesterday and was one of the most numerously attended gathe gatherings ringo ever held in the county this fact shows the high esteem in which the deceased was as held there were present several members member of the high council senta tives of the Disho pricks of maeser vernal glines and naples wards the teachers and most of the students of tho the uintah stake academy and many of the pioneer settlers vf this valley besides numerous friends from froin all parts of the county the house bouse was tastily decorated and a large number of floral offerings were made by special request oi of the maeser bishoprick and the family of james hacking bishop john N davis david pre aided and the music was rendered rende redby by the vernal ward choir under chedi the direction of assistant Cho Choin irister ster john robinson I 1 the he speakers were elders nelson merkley Aler kley C D B bartlett don D B colton col ton and R S collett elder merkley Ater kley was as so much affected that lie he was scarcely able to speak during the exercises resolutions of respect formulated by the students of the uintah stake academy were read by warren cotton colton members of the choir albo rendered a beautiful quartette bury thy grief the cortege was almost half a mile in length the remains interred in the maeser cemetery |
