a con concan boncell cell of these indian tribes will be made cat ly in the spring at sonic some point on oil the missouri above the mouth of grand i ivar A large force of cavalry tind under erGen gen sully will against thein as soon as the grass on the prairies is to subsist the animals and will give battle to the indians or otherwise secure peace with them until this expedition moves it will be unsafe for any steamers to pass up the missouri liver above fort pierre the force under tinder gen sully will be atron strong enough to beat tho the indians if found concentrated on the river if the indians fail to make this tin s concentration tra tion heavy forces of cavalry will scour the country on both sides 0 of ft alie ic river river and after driving the indians in interior will put pursue sue them during tile surn summer mer and either force a battle or a peace it is recommended therefore to cini ami giants by water that they communicate with gen sully on oil the upper missouri
