High scorer on the alumni team was Ken Nickell, last year's all state. Ken made 11 points and all of them in the fourth quarter. Two of Nickell's baskets were made in the last minute of the ball game to pull his team within three points of the Utes at 38 to 35. A basket by Gary Hatch ended the ball game at 41-35. The Utes made 13 points from 15 foul shots while Union made only three of their eleven shots. Union led with sixteen field goals compared with fourteen by the Utes. Union's team included last year's state Class B champions Ken Nickell, Don Killian, John Benson and Bellon. From Union's team two years ago came Scott Nickell and John Perry.
