Sweetheart royalty reigns over evening With decorations hung, votes counted for sweetheart royalty, and the band set up it's time to enjoy yourself and all of the hard work put into getting ready for the dance. The Vernal Junior High eighth and ninth grade students held their annual Sweetheart Ball Friday night, Feb. 18 in the decorated cafeteria. Each home room nominated a king and queen. Friday morning, Feb. 18 all candidates were introduced to the studentbody in an assembly. Each student stu-dent was given the opportunity to vote on who they wanted to have as their Sweetheart Ball royalty. That evening during the dance the royalty was announced an-nounced by last year's king and queen. Selected as King was Ricky Murray with Janae Martin as Queen.
