If- ' , - , - Elva Laverne Galloway Former resident dies in California Elva Laverne Wheeler Galloway, loving lov-ing wife, mother, and friend, age 76, passed away February 13, 1983, of cancer in Terra Linda, San Rafael, Marin County, Coun-ty, California. She was born August 17, 1906, in Vernal, Ver-nal, to Warren Edward and Cora Margaret Rebecca Greene Wheeler. She lived with her parents in Vernal, Steamboat Steam-boat Springs, Colorado, and Myton, Utah. She attended the local shcools, the Ogden High School, and graduated from the Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Plea-sant, Utah in 1924. She was crowned beauty queen of Duchesne County in 1925. She married Heber Charles Galloway of Roosevelt, Utah, November 1, 19;27, in Vernal. He was the son of John Wesley Galloway, Vernal's first marshal. They made their home in Roosevelt where Heber was employed at the Roosevelt State Bank until 1932 when they moved to San Francisco. Fran-cisco. In 1967 they moved to their home overlocking Clear Lake, in Clearlake Oaks, California. She was a member of the LDS Church. She is survived by her husband, Heber Charles Galloway, Clearlake Oaks; one son. Gary Wheeler Galloway. San Rafael, California; two grandchildren,' Gregory Warren Galloway, San Rafael, and Staci Christina Galloway Atmore Boden, Ormand Beach, Florida; a nephew, Seaton E. Wheeler, Vernal, Utah. |
