Country Meadows names 1979-80 teaching staff Country Meadows Early Education Center has completed their 1979-80 staff, according to Ora Fay Oviatt, director. "I feel that we have a very capable staff this year with myself and three of our former instructors returning." Mrs. Oviatt, a native of Vernal, has taught in the Duchesne and Uintah School Districts; been an extension agent for the University of Utah programs in the area and has directed early childhoon programs here for twelve years. She and her husband, Clark, are parents of four children, Marjean 14; Philip 10; Joelle, 8; and Marietta, 2. Mr. Oviatt is a science instructor at Vernal Junior High School. Ora Fay received her BS degree from University of Utah in Educational Administration and Early Childhoon Education. Mrs. Oviatt will teach both morning and afternoon sessions four days per week. Marsha Oleen is returning to Country Meadows for her third year. She will teach four mornings per week. Mrs. Oleen is a native of the Uintah Basin and mother of three children, Garrett, 7; Jennifer, 5 and Adam (Grizz) 2. Her husband AJan, is a salesman for Mountain States Inspection. Marsha attended Utah State University majoring in ElementaryEducation. Prior to coming to Country Meadows, she taught in Child's World Montassori School in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Martha Ann Cooper is new to the Country Meadow staff this year. She hails from Raymond. Alberta, Canada. Her husband, Ken Cooper, is a local timber cutter. Mrs. Cooper has a BS degree from Brigham Young University with a major in Home Economics Education and supportive work in Child Development. She is the mother of a daughter, Juliann, 5 and a son, Ronnie, 3. Mrs. Cooper will teach two afternoons per week. Teacher's aide for the afternoon session is Cynthia Kidwell. Mrs. Kid-welj Kid-welj is from Eldon, Missouri. She trained for teacher's aide through the parent aide program at Country Meadows last year. Mrs. Kidwell's husband, Dennis, is manager of Gibson's Gib-son's Discount Center. They have a four-year-old son, Brian. Terry Johnson, morning teachers aide, will return to the staff later in the semester. This will be Mrs. Johnson's second year on the Country Meadow staff. Originally from Witchita Falls, , Texas, she is married to Ross Johnson, who is employed by Shannon Services. They are parents of two children Josh, 6 and Candy, 4. "Parent orientation and final registration will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Center. During this meeting the policies and procedures of the center will be explained said Mrs. Oviatt, "and tuition contracts will be finalized with payment of tuition and registration fees." School begins Tuesday, Sept. 4. Registration can still be made daily by calling 789-0123 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p. m until both sessions are filled" Mrs. Oviatt concluded. |
