Mrs. L. E. Barnett left Monday Sullenger, second; Mrs. Charles Sax, consolation; Mrs. T. R. Mc-Neilis, Mc-Neilis, bingo, and Mrs. Charles Carey, draw. Mrs. Ross Palmer and sons, Grant, Lynn, Paul, Stewart, Keith and Dermis, of South Jordan, Jor-dan, were visitors of Mrs. Raymond Ray-mond Larsen and Colleen Saturday Satur-day afternoon. Copperton Relief Society Commencing with next week the Copperton Ward Relief Society Soc-iety will meet in the morning, starting at 10 a.m. On Tuesday, October . 7th, the visiting teachers teach-ers lesson will be given at 9:30 a.m. by Mrs. George Gadd, and the theology lesson at 10 a.m. by Mrs. Vida Poulsen. All members are invited. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Armitstead were Mrs. Arvil Armitstead, Miss Roberta Burt and Miss Burt's fiance of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thome and Mr. and Mrs. (Dale Porter and children, Kathy and Colleen of Murray. The occasion celebrated Mr. Armitstead's birthday. Mrs. Jay Cheever and boys, Ronald and Gary of Granger, spent this week with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cheever while young Ronald had his tonsils out. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Shields and family were dinner guests at the home of Mr. Shield's parents par-ents in Tooele Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Armitstead visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Holdaway of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Peterson and son Bobby of Ogden were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cheever. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Diederich and family of Salt Lake City were guests Sunday at the Ernest Ern-est A. Diederich home. Mrs. Pearl Cheever visited her sister, Mrs. F. J. Erickson of Salt Lake City Wednesday. Don Diederich left Tuesday for the Treasure Island naval base at San Francisco, Calif., to go on a two weeks' cruise with the marine reserves. Here for a week end visit and also to attend general conference in Salt Lake City are Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Freston of Roosevelt. They are house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Curtis and family. for Los Angeles, Calif., to visit with her daughter Ruth. Billy and Dennis Foreman of Midvale visited Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ray and family. Mrs. Vern Wooley of Washington, Wash-ington, D. C., left Wednesday after af-ter visiting a week with Mr. and Mrs. Willard Nichols and son Dennis and Frank Olson. Mrs. Barbara Sorenson entertained enter-tained her bridge club at her home Wednesday evening. Mrs. Helen Cunliffe was an invited guest. Prizes at cards were won by Mrs. Cunliffe, Mrs. Frances Kelly and Mrs. Betty Nichols. Dainty refreshments were served. serv-ed. Dr. and Mrs. Glenn W. Pett and baby arrived Monday from San Antonio, Tex., to visit a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Pett. Glenn, a captain in the air force, is enroute to an overseas assignment to Alaska where he will be stationed at a base near Anchorage. Mr. and Mrs. James F. Barkle of Copperton and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Booth of Salt Lake City left Monday mprning on a visit to Washington where they will visit with Mr. and Mrs. Barkle's daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson and children at Spokane and with Mrs. Barkle's and Mrs. Booth's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Holton of Seattle. They plan to be gone about a week. Mrs. Frank Finnas was hostess hos-tess to the birthday club at her home on Thursday of last week. A delicious one o'clock luncheon was served after which contract bridge was played. Mrs. B. J. Santistevan and Mrs. H. R. Gust were guests. Prizes were won by Mrs. Ben Price, first; Mrs. Helen |
