Show Chris Billings captures trophy for the third time in a row Chris Billings stopped the traveling around by the Ty Braselton Memorial Traveling Trophy when he won the racing prize for the third time in a row last Sunday in Ogden Billings won the trophy in 1975 and 1976 but in order to become the owner of the trophy he had to win it three times in a row Billings placed first all three times in the cc expert heats and he garnered first place overall Chris won the trophy when he placed first in the combined expert novice and amateur sweepstakes race Billings averaged about 36 seconds per lap The race consisted of oC ten laps Billings finished about a Vt lap ahead of the second place fir finisher sher ITS MINE I now I was scared and I was worried about losing it it It ft was a big relief to win it commented Chris Monty Morris and Randy Spain Vernal also competed in inthe inthe inthe the sweepstakes race Spain placed third and Morris garnered garnered garnered gar gar- fourth place Spain captured first in the amateur class Morris placed second in the amateur class LARRY RUSH captured second in the open expert race He won 25 Other Vernal racers who competed in the Ty Braselton Memorial Race were Edgar Jones novice John Hatch novice and Danny Ellifritz novice There will be a motorcycle meet at the Dina Cycle Park in Naples Saturday at 6 pm p.m. |
