BOARD meeting the Board of Education will decide on their official goals A report was presented regarding the Utah State Division of Health agreement to place a building and air monitoring equipment on the Naples Elementary campus By Bya a vote of 3 to 1 the Board of Education duca approved this request The Sale of or Surplus or Salvaged Material policy was read for the second time lime Via this policy surplus or salvaged material must be disposed of in strict conformity with the law No Board member may be eligible to purchase the same However employees of or the district are arc eligible to purchase the surplus or salvaged material but only at advertised public auction or advertised sealed bid Because of myriad of problems associated with the school district property on North Vernal Avenue across from Ashley Creek it was decided by the Board of or Education to sell all of or this property put it up for bid to be belet belet belet let at 30 days at the last meeting In July A be made through the administrative staff at the high school to view this f facility ac ili ty THE TilE NEGOTIATIONS recommendations to the Board of Education for official adoption was as presented This adoption for teachers included a salary base raise to pay increases in insurance benefits pay lane changes in in increments increments increments in- in pay unemployment insurance In addition adequate time will be provided for elementary teachers to have lunch not to have a complete hour lunch period but approximately approximately approximately ap ap- ap- ap proximately 15 to 20 minutes depending upon their principal to provide for financial reimbursement reimbursement reimbursement through the high school where activities with tickets are paid and also to have tills this years year's salary schedule to include the cost by the district for insurance etc The classified adoption was to increase increase in in- crease the base pay by percent to pay the increases in insurance benefits including the husband and wife package pay lane changes and increments unemployment insurance Both Bothof of these packages were ratified by the Board of Education The administration package however was held off until another meeting can be held with the administrators on Monday at 5 pm p.m. It was recommended at this time that they place on the base under the administrators contract and adding extra for a doctorate lane A review of the court decisions was made at this time The Tom Snyder suit regarding the court case filed by him on behalf of all parents of the Uintah High School it was stated that the deposition of Mr Snyder had been taken on June 16 At this time it was felt that the bond posed by Mr Snyder must be made properly that there can be no new developments after this briefing and that Judge Sam agreed to some of the provisions that were discussed earlier A second case regarding Mr Pratts Pratt's reemployment with Uintah School District via the Supreme Court case was discussed The Supreme Court will rehear this case There willbe will willbe willbe be no arguments issued Judge Hall is the dissenting judge who is asking to reanalyze this case It may possibly be reversed at this time A PROM I Mr Stan Allen requesting of the Board of Education to be released from two weeks of his summer contract contra i so that he might attend summer school and that the necessary deductions be made from his salary The Board of Education felt that this would be a proposal they could accept and did approve it at this time A request from Principal John Childs of Naples Elementary asking to enlarge the media center by moving the walls out into the hallway was reviewed The Board of or Education because the doors presently here approved this decision if a written statement may be obtained regarding the fire code and its ils applicability to this code |
