Show Receives ROTC commission at Weber State During the annual Army ROTC awards and commissioning commissioning com com- ceremonies held June 3 at Weber State College Cadet Delane B. B Esplin son of Mr and Mrs James S. S Esplin of Lapoint was commissioned a second lieutenant in the regular Army Lieutenant Esplin will enter the military policy corps He will initially be assigned to Fort Lewis Washington where he will serve as a platoon advisor to cadets undergoing their annual training at that post Lieutenant Esplin will then attend the military policy corps officers basic course at Fort McClellan Alabama LIEUTENANT ESPLIN was also recognized for his superior performance and outstanding m demonstrated leadership while a cadet in the ROTC program Among the awards he received were distinguished military graduate award for his demonstrated aptitude for service and attainment of a high scholastic standing in all academic pursuits Cadet Battalion Commanders Commander's award for his selection to the highest position of responsibility in the cadet corps for which we received an engraved sabre The Ogden Logistics Association award for demonstrated outstanding qu qualities of leadership moral character and aptitude for service for which he received an engraved commercial model Colt automatic service pistol and the Department of the Army Superior Cadet award for scholastic excellence One learns manners from those who have none Persian Proverb Truth never grows old Thomas Fuller f |
