Show problem of progressively raising standard of 1 medical profession I 1 f f by UR DR it IV NEY N Y polyclinic medical scho school ol 01 undoubtedly one of the most important medical problems before the world today is that of progressively raising the standard of the medical edical in profession inid and increasing the efficiency of the individual physician this can call be best accomplished through postgraduate post graduate training which must be provided for b by y liberal contributions to graduate medical development As physicians we give gac approximately 70 percent per cent of our time to charity we carry out the teaching program entirely without remuneration hoping thereby to increase the eMcie efficiency ncy of our brothers I 1 ani am riot not aware that any other branch of human endeavor does docs so much to improve tile the lot I 1 of mankind and while we vc give our time and energy to this work we have a perfect right to expect that tile the public will contribute adequate funds to provide our institutions with the alie equipment necessary to carry on this I 1 work we do not ask for funds from a stanl standpoint point of charity but we ask I 1 that the public at least in some degree attempt to discharge the debt they owe to ill medical edical achievement and thus help us its to make further contributions to the welfare of humanity |
