Show early pioneer passes away with the passing away of 0 william H white at his home last saturday beaver loses one of its sturdiest diest and most highly re respected citizens mr white was born on the missouri river in 1849 while his parents were from nauvoo ill III to utah the family first settled in lehi and later in oved moved to cedar city from there they came to beaver ir 1859 where william 11 has resided ever since in 1870 te 1 e married annie riley who survives him besides his wife there remain of the childr childred er george D white mrs fred J stoney mrs dark clark kessler rodney white all of beaver william 11 white jr and parley white of salt lake city and mrs george simpkins of eureka all these were pre present ent at the death of their father there are also three brothers of the deceased orson charles and hyrum and in salt lake one sister mrs mary muss r mr white had always beep a stanch defender of the divine mission of the he prophet joseph smith he has been a man of faith aith in whom the people had implicit confidence for many years he was a member of th high council also of the city council he fulfilled an honorable lable mission in the southern states during 1881 82 he never sought preferment but basof a retiring disposition his death is keenly felt celt by the entire community funeral services were held in the stake houe last tuesday at 1 P M the sr sneakers eakers were dr J F mcgregor geo munford frank farnsworth moses edwards J F tolton C F harrit and bishop geo parkinson all spoke words worda of encouragement and in the highest praise of the life and character of the deceased interment was made in mountain view cemetery |
