Show a weekly crop bulletin Eul letia for week ending monday april 1896 the weather during the first half of the past week way was moderately wa warm rin and generally favorable for agricultural operations the latter part was stormy with rain and snow now which were beneficial to early sown own grain pastures and meadows in the northern and central coun ties where the precipitation was the greatest plowing and seeding is is about finished in the southern pa portion artion of the state and fairly well under way in the noT northern thern dis dig tracts in the southern portion of the state the CI are reported as I 1 coking well but bu i not making much advancement on account of the cold and lack of moisture lucern is from ten to twelve inches high and fall and spring wheat is in a very promising condition peaches apricots IR scots and plums were severely inured injured by the late freeze and fears are entertained that in many districts these crops will be somewhat of a failure throughout the northern portion of the state plowing and seeding was progressing fairly well until interrupted by the rain and snow storms at the close of the week fall wheat and lucern are looking well garden truck is growing nicely and most of the beets and early potatoes have been planted J H SMITH section director |
