Show THEATRICAL. The Scandinavian Dramatic and Musical Club gave one of their attractive entertainments on Monday evening the 24th ult. at Logan Hall. The room was crowded from stage to door, many persons being unable to find seats. The piece entitled "I'll Smiers" was broadly humorous,??? (can't read)??? - whether understanding the language or not. The after-piece called "Harlequin Skelet," would have been well suited for a Christmas pantomime - but was out of place in a heated summer atmosphere - quite overtaking the risibility of the appreciative audience present. Mr. Bjerkhoel's orchestra enlivened the evening's proceedings. |
