Show OBITUARY. At Smithfield at 8.30 p.m., on Tuesday, July 18th, 1882, after a sickness of several weeks, Dorothy Gill, wife of Francis Sharp. Deceased was born at Waldridge Fell, County of Durham, England on the 21st of April 1810, was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Newcastle on Tyne conference, England, February 13th, 1855. She was married to Francis Sharp on the 20th of October, 1835, and emigrated in 1852, leaving home on the 14th of April and arriving in Salt Lake City on October 19 following. She lived in Farmington till the spring of 1865 and then moved to Smithfield. She was the mother of twelve children, nine of whom are living. She lived and died true in the principles of the gospel. The funeral which was held on the 20th ult. was numerously attended. Addresses were delivered by Apostle Wilford Woodruff, Elders Jas. (James) Mack, and Samuel Roskelly and Bishop G.L. Farrell. |
