Show MINUTES OF THEATRE MEETING. According to public announcement a number of the citizens of Logan met in Logan Hall on the evening of May 30th, to consider the propriety of building a theatre in said city. On motion of Pres. [President] W. B. Preston, B. F. Cummings, Jr., was elected chairman. Prayer was offered by Pres. W. B. Preston. On motion N. W. Haws was elected secretary. The object of the meeting was stated by the chair, after which it was discussed by the citizens present. It was moved that a mint [?] stock company be organized to build an amusement hall in Logan, to cost from $3,000 to $10,000, the stock to be in shares of five dollars each; carried. Moved that a committee of three be appointed to canvass the city to solicit subscriptions to stock in said hall; carried. The following were appointed by the chair to act as the committee: John P. Caine, Jr., P. O. Angell, Jr., and R. Kickham [?]. On motion E. M. Cards was appointed a committee to wait on the trustees and ascertain on what terms the ground near the Logan Hall could be leased. Moved that the minutes of this meeting be published in the Logan Leader. Meeting adjourned to meet in Logan hall at 8 o'clock on the evening of June 147th. Benediction by Bishop Thos.
