Show CONGRESS IS AGAIN IN SESSION AND THE Women Suffrage question of course has received a new impetus. Out of the thousands of memorials which the great council of the nation may expect to encounter before the winter is over; the first is one from twenty-five rich widows, who ask that either their political disabilities be removed or that they be relieved from taxation. The easiest way for Congress to settle the matter with the signers of the first petition, would be to provide twenty-five impecunious but deserving male individuals as husbands. |
